Clinical Therapist/ Psychotherapist | Winnipeg

It’s okay to start therapy even if you’re unsure if you really need it. Most people feel inclined to seek out therapy after a stressful life event, but the meaning of the word “stressful” can differ for everyone. We all have different triggers and unique life experiences. Therapy can provide you with the tools to help you manage life’s daily curveballs and assist you in creating a happier and more fulfilled life. I am passionate about caring for others and my goal is to create an environment where you feel safe, respected, and accepted. I hope to improve your overall well-being, inspire personal growth and positive change. By empowering you to discover your personal strengths, I hope to help you gain insight, curiosity, and trust within yourself. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to help foster personal change and growth. I aim to practice therapy from a person centred and holistic approach. In my approach to therapy, you are the expert at your own experiences, and I can guide and mentor you along the way. Therapy can look different for everyone and together we will create a tailored plan to help you reach your goals! My practice uses approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness cognitive behavioural therapy (MCBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), solution focused therapy, attachment theory, person centred therapy, and a trauma informed approach. I have always had a passion for the concept of psychology. Throughout my life, I have strived to support my friends and family through their toughest moments as well as uplift and guide them with my warmth and support. I have been studying in the mental health field for over 10 years and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2018. I moved on to the field of Psychiatric nursing until 2020 when I had a shift of interest in Psychiatry and decided to pursue my Master’s in Counselling Psychology. I recently graduated with my Master of Counselling Psychology in 2023. Additionally, I have over two years of work experience counselling clients that have survived trauma and battled with addictions. I’m here to listen and I would be honoured to work with you through this experience.
