In 2001, Dr. Tanya found her career in health and wellness practicing massage therapy, with neuromuscular therapy as her main focus. During her proficient 10 year massage practice she became eager to broaden her scope beyond soft tissue. Her fascination with the human body and welling has led her to the all encompassing modality of TCM. Dr. Tanya became a registered acupuncturist (R.Ac) in Alberta in 2011 and next, completed the doctor of traditional Chinese medicine program. Since then, she has attained success with treating patients using a wide spectrum of techniques. Her skills have enabled her to effectively treat a range of issues, including acute and chronic pain, allergies, anxiety, arthritis, breast enhancements, colds and flues, depression, digestive disorders, hair loss, headaches, insomnia, skin disorders, stress management, hormonal imbalances, infertility, and menstruation irregularities. Aside from practicing TCM, Dr. Tanya teaches anatomy and acts as a clinic supervisor at the Alberta College of Acupuncture, the only school in North America that is nationally accredited by China. She is captivated by the diversity of practice and theory TCM embraces and works to integrate it with western theory. She enjoys working with people and continually aspires to advance her knowledge and skills to help people in their journey toward wellness and disease prevention.
