Fibie graduated from the WCCMT in 2004 and has practiced in Vancouver for the past 20 years ;first 3 years in Absolute Spa at Fairmont Hotel for 3 years and 17 years as self employed RMT in Mainland massage therapy clinic (5years ) & Yaletown Massage Therapy till August 2024. She brings extensive knowledge to her practice from her past career as a physiotherapist. She had completed a masters in the field and practiced in a clinic and university hospital for ten years, working with patients in pre and post surgery and chronic and acute orthopedic cases; (Her experiences range from lower back pain, knee pain, and neck pain, osteoarthritics and pre and post injury in sports, specifically soccer and basketball). She is able to successfully bridge her experiences from her past to present career with her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, active/passive movements and stretch/strengthening exercises. All of these assist in postural correction and realignment in her patients & decreased chronic & sub acute pain She also has had years experience of working with pregnant women from beginning & through prenatal and postnatal stages with appropriate care & therapeutic massage to help clients having comfortable pregnancy and post birth In last 2 & half year ,she also took position as clinic instructor in WCCMT The clinics she attended were located in UBC for athletic students and outreach clinic for 50 years & older patients with chronic conditions School & her students always described her as knowledgeable and fair teacher that helped students to have better perspective of massage treatments in their future careers
