Amanda Rampersaud (RMT)
Amanda brings us 11 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, which reflects as a true testament to her busy practice. She is a born and raised Calgarian, but also born with cultural roots to the Caribbean, as her father is from Guyana, South America. Amanda believes that massage therapy is beneficial to all ages on both a physical and mental level. Her approach to massage therapy incorporates a combination of therapeutic and deep tissue techniques combined with elements and styles of relaxation, which individualized to each client, provides the most effective treatment.
Her friendly and empathic personality mirror her dedication to the health and well being of all her clients.
Amanda decided to embark on her massage therapy career only after a serious car accident in 2009 which nearly cost her her life. It was during all her rehabilitative treatments including massage, when she realized she wanted to pursue this career. Learning all about her own neck injury was something she became fascinated with, which is what evolved her into where she is today. Her learning doesn’t stop there. Since then, she has been continuously taking additional certification courses, including Advanced Orthopedic Massage of the Neck, and Myofascial Cupping Therapy.
When she isn’t massaging, Amanda stays busy working in the beauty industry as a Professional Makeup Artist and also a Makeup Instructor. She also loves to bake, enjoys being creative, reading, traveling, health and fitness, music, and always learning new and exciting things.
